Join The Town of Canton as it holds its 104th Labor Day Celebration and hosts the oldest Labor Day celebration parade in the South… A special thank you goes out to Limeade Studio for their fabulous photos.   Thursday September 2nd is the kick-off for a weekend of great fun.  The Canton Recreation Park will host Rides, Food and Craft Vendors, and Entertainment through Monday Sept. 6th. Our Mountain Music Heritage Women cutting up mountains of watermelon, folding chairs all over the lawn, ducks waddling here and there begging for food, the air is charged with the anticipation of shared music and heritage. The Smokey Mountain Folk Festival is about to begin. For two days the fiddle tunes and gospel songs mix, mingle, and float over Lake Junaluska like they belong there.
