The Splendor of North Carolina Mountain Fall Color and Waterfalls.

Sweet summer rain tap tap tapping on a tin roof … oh, how we sleep.  That is one of the sounds of the mountains we love the most.  Every year many families vacation in western North Carolina experiencing that which makes us so special.  Now, it’s fall and the leaves are turning and people will be flocking to see the mountains loose their green splendor to magnificent colors of reds, oranges and yellows.  It’s cooling down and soon we will be sipping hot chocolate and hot apple cider.

Another of our most treasured natural attractions are our waterfalls.  And what can be more peaceful and nourishing than looking at those wonders, listening to falling water, feeling the cool breezes all the while wrapped in a blanket of fall splendor from the vibrant chromatic explosion that will embrace you.

This is the year to replenish your spirit.

I would love to introduce you to  http://www.northcarolinawaterfalls.info/index.html
This website is amazing with all the information you will need to find and visit these natural wonders, get information about closings and openings and keep up to date with the ins and outs of a visit.  Here you will find an interactive map of each North Carolina waterfall.  You will also be able to list and search for particular waterfalls.  Click any falls' name to go to its page, where you will find a larger picture, description, statistics, directions, and more information about each waterfall where it is available.

I was mesmerized by this site, just can’t get enough of it and now want to plan my own fall excursion.

I hope you enjoy it.
